Summer & Salads

Doesn't this look like summer?

As I age, things tend to take longer to complete :)

Broccoli Salad
3 heads of broccoli, trimmed and divided into bite-size pieces
1 small red onion, small dice
6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
1/2 cup cashews, pecans or sunflower seeds- roughly chopped
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsps sugar
4 tbsps vinegar

I hope you are having a wonderful summer filled with much fun!
I think of you all the time and miss you terribly!
I hope to get back in the swing of things soon!

Kathi :)

Oh glory, this looks good! What a great recipe for a summer salad. In the summer, seems like all I really want to eat are salads and garden veggies and fruit. I love the idea of dried cranberries in this salad. Yummers!

P.S. Its so GOOD to see you!

Hi Kathi! It was a nice surprise to hear from you. Have you planted all of your flowers yet? I still have a few pots to go. I transfer pansies from the front planter to the back gardens and then I am set. Your salad looks yummy! I'll have to save this recipe. ~ Robyn
